Bournemouth forward Max Gradel is facing six months out after scans confirmed he has a ruptured cruciate ligament.
The Cherries' summer signing from St-Etienne was injured during Saturday's home draw with Leicester and will now have surgery to repair the damage.
There could yet be further fallout from the Leicester game as Bournemouth await further news on a knee injury sustained by record-signing Tyrone Mings.
